Tribute Giving

Honour someone you care about by making a gift of nature. A contribution to our conservation lands is a lasting gift that helps to maintain and enhance our green spaces now while conserving them for the enjoyment of future generations. All gifts are eligible for a charitable receipt for income tax purposes, and we would be happy to send a card informing the honouree or their loved ones of your thoughtful tribute.

Tribute Trees

Trees play an important role in our environment. Among other things, they provide shade and  cooling, hold pollutants and carbon, and provide food and habitat for our birds and other species. Planting a tree is the easiest thing we can do to improve our quality of life now and for
future generations.

With a gift of $125 you can support a native tree and shrub planting project on conservation lands in the Hamilton watershed and have your donation recognized in the Beckett Forest in the Dundas Valley Conservation Area.

Mark an important spot to celebrate an important date or remember someone special by dedicating a bench in one of our conservation areas or along an HCA trail. With a gift of $3,000, individuals, families or groups can donate a bench and provide a rest area where visitors can enjoy the beauty of nature. A recognition plaque with a personalized inscription will be mounted on the bench. View our program fact sheet here.
