Over the August long weekend, Summit Station Dairy partnered with Westfield Heritage Village Conservation Area to “churn back time” for an immersive, hands-on event focused on the history and science of Ontario dairy. Westfield visitors enjoyed historical cooking and baking demonstrations, Q&As on the past and present of dairy farming, cow milking demonstrations, and more.
In addition to collaborating to create this weekend experience, Summit Station Dairy hosted a fundraiser where customers could donate their glass bottle refunds to benefit Westfield’s steam locomotive restoration efforts. Thanks to a customer-matching business donation, Westfield received a total gift of $652. Many thanks to Summit Station Dairy for supporting cultural heritage conservation in the Hamilton region.
