Many thanks to everyone who bought tickets for our 50/50 raffle, raising $2,807.50 for nature in the Hamilton watershed! This act of generosity will support habitat restoration, trail maintenance, outdoor environmental education, and more by building the Area of Greatest Need Fund.
Congratulations to Mary B. from Millgrove (ticket D-4816), who won the other half of the pot. When staff called to congratulate her, Mary shared a little about herself:
- Favourite Conservation Area? Christie Lake
- Favourite thing to do outside in summer? Walking forest trails and birdwatching.
- Why did she buy her tickets? “I believe it’s important to support conservation efforts and help protect our wetlands, forests and the wildlife that call them home.”
Keep an eye on our social media and newsletter for more fun coming in the fall for the celebration of the Hamilton Conservation Foundation’s 50th anniversary.
